Gov. Jan Brewer Admitted her mistake

Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona accepted her mistake during the debate. Gov. Jan Brewer rose to national fame defending the state's immigration law and warning of rising violence along the U.S.-Mexico border, including a claim that headless bodies were turning up in the Arizona desert. Brewer has spent the time since backtracking and trying to repair the damage done from her cringe-worthy debate against underdog challenger Terry Goddard.

That was an error, if I said that," the Republican told The Associated Press on Friday. "I misspoke, but you know, let me be clear, I am concerned about the border region because it continues to be reported in Mexico that there's a lot of violence going on and we don't want that going into Arizona."

She said she was referring to beheadings and other cartel-related violence in Mexico in comments she made earlier this summer about decapitated bodies found in the state's southern region.

Brewer's candidacy caught a big break in April, when she signed a controversial new state immigration law that put local police officers on the front lines of enforcing federal immigration law. At the time, Brewer's primary campaign faced serious challenges, but signing the bill cleared her path to what proved to be an easy primary win on Aug. 24.

A veteran Arizona political observer said her latest gaffes may not sway many voters but could put a charge into Goddard's campaign.

"I think it gave him an opening," said Bruce Merrill, a longtime pollster and retired Arizona State University journalism professor.

Goddard can now play the debate clips over and over as he attacks her competence to lead Arizona.

Rafael van der vaart transfer made a change

The Dutch footballer Rafael van der vaart who plays for Tottenham Hotspur and the Netherlands national team had made definite changes in his field. A leap on career buzz the entire sport league as the changes shown up already.

TOTTENHAM have confirmed they have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of Holland midfielder Rafael van der Vaart. Harry Redknapp's side have agreed an £8million fee with the Spanish giants, who was deemed surplus to requirements by new boss Jose Mourinho.
But after investigating the club's claims that there were difficulties involving computer servers used in the transaction between themselves and Real, the Premier League ratified the signing.

Redknapp said: "They let me know around 4pm that he was available for £8million and, for that money, he is a top player who will definitely improve us.

"He's a great passer of the ball, he's a top footballer, he will join in here and be a big plus for us."

Van der Vaart helped Holland reach this summer's World Cup final but has struggled to establish himself at Madrid since joining them two years ago.
He was the Bundesliga side's leading scorer in his first season and went on to captain them before moving to the Spanish capital.

He has won 83 caps for Holland, scoring 16 goals and representing his country at two European Championships and two World Cups.

So Excited to See the FOCKERS

"Still the Fockers! Has always been a FOCKER"...

Another great job from the cast of MEET THE FOCKERS on this years most awaited TV sequel to be played by fabulous actors and actresses namely: Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, and Teri Polo. In addition to De Niro, Stiller, and Polo, Meet the Fockers stars Dustin Hoffman, Barbra Streisand, Blythe Danner, and Owen Wilson.

Everyone’s having fun, that’s obvious, and some of the set ups are more than a match for the original.

Of course, there is no more story to tell about these families either way. However, with this film's popularity, it's almost inevitable that the Byrnes and the Fockers will get back together. And what an excitement it may be after they clash again over TV? So excited having this been part of my TV schedules. Much more, setting up my kitchen chores will be spiced up by the new MEET THE FOCKERS team up.

Today's Rally by Glenn Beck

Speeches by conservative personalities Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin echoed off the marbled edges of the World War II monument, far from the stage at the Lincoln Memorial during the "Restoring Honor" rally today in Washington, D.C.

They were bused in from smaller towns across the country - a 20-bus caravan came from Dauphin County - to express their growing unease with rising unemployment, ballooning budget deficits and runaway government spending. On the anniversary of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s “I Have A Dream” speech, they came to revive their version of the American Dream, fearing that it's slipping away.

Glenn Beck, a man who only ten years ago was wallowing in drug addiction, is a reformed sinner who has seen the light and believes he has a God-given obligation to bring America out of the wilderness. Whether God has anything to do with Glenn Beck’s mission is subject to personal belief.

Beck is hardly spreading his message while wearing sackcloth and ashes; he travels across the country in his private jet, bringing in hundreds of millions of dollars a year from lecture tours, book signings, and speeches at Tea Party rallies.

He asked all Americans today to return to God, to restore decency to the public sphere, and to honor their creator in their personal life. Parents should get down on their knees and pray daily for the salvation of their country, and Beck urged that they open the door so their children can see them praying. Glenn Beck warned that terrible times are coming to this nation, and only God can save us now if we are willing to turn our hearts once again to Him.Many in the crowd no doubt have personal experience with terrible times. With unemployment and underemployment near 17% of the working population, millions of people are familiar with fear, hunger, and homelessness. But there was not a word in Glenn Beck’s speech about any of these afflictions.

The Glenn Beck crowd today, much like his audience for his television, radio, or book products, was overwhelmingly white and elderly. Many of them were from the South, and however indistinctly and subconsciously, their slave-owning ancestors and Jim Crow enforcers were whispering to them today through the mystic chords of memory. Many others were the progeny of immigrant forefathers from Europe – immigrants who may have had trouble assimilating in America on the basis of religion or language or culture, but who blended in on the all-important matter of race.
